Christin Johansson
A trained nurse and ceramicist, Christin Johansson challenges the traditionalism of the ceramic trade through her clinical, almost sterile sculptural objects and wares that draw inspiration from hospital and industrial environments.
Chrisitn has had numerous solo and group shows at venues in Denmark and abroad (see CV), and she has taught ceramics at Holbæk Kunsthøjskole (2003-2009), Copenhagen School of Architecture (January 2004), and the Glass and Ceramics School on Bornholm (October 2002).
Christin has attended various ceramic workshops and received a number of grants.
In addition, Christin runs a miniature exhibition space on busy Istedgade in central Copenhagen (see Window 107 tab) where she and other mainly ceramic artists have the opportunity to display works that do not fit in other places.
